Sunday’s match is going to be very special for Frosinone goalkeeper Stefano Turati, who a few months ago was in the stands cheering on his beloved Inter and now faces them as an opponent.
It kicks off at San Siro on Sunday at 19.45 GMT.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper has never disguised his love for Inter, even confessing it was ‘like an illness’ that could not be shaken.
It was more obvious than ever in May when Inter played Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia Final at the Stadio Olimpico in May.
Having the day off from Frosinone training, Turati spent the evening in the Curva surrounded by Inter ultras, photographed with his shirt off celebrating the victory.
La Gazzetta dello Sport point out this is the first time that Turati has ever played against Inter.
He started out in their youth academy, but left in 2017 for Renate, then Sassuolo.
Turati is still owned by Sassuolo, but had loan spells at Reggina and now Frosinone.
Love It, FORZA CURVA NORD
