According to multiple reports in Italy, Inter director Piero Ausilio is in Madrid to sound out Dani Ceballos and Luka Jovic and listen to offers for Lautaro Martinez.

The Argentinean striker has recently extended his contract, but the Nerazzurri are open to selling him for €70-80m. Like last summer, the Serie A champions will need to earn somewhere in the region of €60-70m from the summer transfer window, so the sale of one of their stars is on the cards.

However, according to Il Corriere dello Sport, Atletico Madrid have informed Inter that they are still interested in El Toro although they are not open to match their asking price. The report suggests that a few Premier League clubs, such as Tottenham, could make their move in the coming weeks.

Spurs already tried to sign Lautaro last summer but submitted their offer too late, when Romelu Lukaku had already agreed to join Chelsea.

If Inter find suitors willing to match their asking price for Lautaro, they will offer money plus Andrea Pinamonti to sign Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo. Darwin Nunez is Inter’s No.1 target in attack, but his price tag is too high.

Ausilio will also talk to Real Madrid directors, asking for information on two of their outcasts, Dani Ceballos and Luka Jovic. Both Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport report the Nerazzurri are interested in the pair. Jovic would be an option to add depth in attack if Lautaro doesn’t leave in the summer.

  1. So much garbage and half truths spewed out by the media and spoken of as fact nowadays.

And people strangely lap it up as it had all actually happened just because they read about it lol
