Roma sporting director Tiago Pinto is currently in Milan, hard at work trying to unblock the club’s transfer window as they wait to welcome Andrea Belotti.

calciomercato.com details how the 37-year-old Portuguese executive arrived in the Lombardy capital earlier today, ready for the final two weeks of the summer transfer window. Pinto is desperate to shift some of the deadweight at the club in order to make space for some final reinforcements, like free agent Belotti.

Multiple redundant players still remain in the Roma squad. Amadou Diawara is refusing any kind of move away, despite being entirely frozen out of the team, the Eldor Shomurodov talks with Bologna have stalled and Justin Kluivert’s possible move to Fulham is moving forward slowly.

Sassuolo and Salernitana are both interested in picking up Felix Afena-Gyan but only on a dry loan deal, which isn’t particularly helpful at this stage.

Pinto is hoping to resolve at least some of these issues in the coming days and weeks, keen to keep coach Jose Mourinho happy.
