Juan Jesus’ contract expires with Napoli at the end of this season and a number of clubs around Europe are keen to pick up the Brazilian defender.

The 31-year-old joined the Partenopei on a free transfer from Roma last year, signing a two-year contract that contains an option for a third. Juan Jesus is the only reliable left-footed centre back in the Napoli squad, something that has proven useful since his arrival.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Napoli are still unsure whether or not to active the one-year extension clause present in Juan Jesus’ contract, meaning he could still leave on a free transfer in the summer.

A number of clubs around Europe are interested in picking up the 31-year-old, who is about to acquire Italian citizenship and gain an EU passport. Multiple sides have already emerged to ask for information about Juan Jesus, including Olympique Marseille, Lyon, Atletico Madrid and Galatasaray.

The Brazilian centre back has made seven appearances across all competitions this season, playing 600 minutes of action.
