From Cuadrado to Bernadeschi, Juve’s plan for contract renewals

Juventus are working on renewing the contracts of a number of players, not just Paulo Dybala, with some agreements closer than others.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Juan Cuadrado is the closest to renewing his contract with the Bianconeri. In the Autumn, the club’s management reached an agreement with the Colombian, extending his contract for a further two years and not touching his €5m net per season salary.

Mattia De Sciglio is another player who wants to stay with the Turin side, despite receiving some interest from abroad. He has already made his desire to stay clear to the team and he has the trust of coach Massimiliano Allegri.

Things are similar for Mattia Perin; the Italian goalkeeper went from a starting shot stopper to a backup option in Turin, but he’s still happy to stay with Juventus. Negotiations have not started yet but an agreement is likely to be reached.

Finally there’s Federico Bernardeschi. The Italian winger made it obvious at the start of the year that he wants to stay with the club, and the team’s management do appreciate his contributions, so they’re open to renewing his deal. The only issue, however, is his wages. The former Fiorentina man earns more than De Sciglio and Perin, around €4m per season, and so the talks will be delicate.
