Matias Soulé scored his first goal in the Roma jersey and showed just how exciting his partnership with Paulo Dybala can be in a 4-0 friendly win over Barnsley.

The Giallorossi began their English pre-season tour today, as they were originally meant to face Coventry City, but the opponent was changed to Barnsley at St. George Park.

Artem Dovbyk and Eldor Shomurodov will not be able to fly out until tomorrow due to issues over their travel permits to the UK.

It took just two minutes for summer signing Enzo Le Fée to open the scoring from the Nicola Zalewski assist.

Milan transfer target Tammy Abraham started upfront and wasted a few opportunities, while Evan Ndicka’s header clipped the woodwork.

After the restart, it was a whole new trident attack and we saw glimpses of the ‘Giallorossi Tango’ promised by the two Argentina internationals.

Nicolò Pisilli scored with a header on the Bryan Cristante assist, then Soulé sent Dybala clear to beat the Barnsley goalkeeper with a delightful lob.

The pair combined again several times, including for the first Soulé goal for the club, with yet another dinked finish.
