Salernitana and Sassuolo won their friendly encounters today, against Palermo and Parma respectively.

The newly-promoted Serie A side beat Serie C Palermo 2-1 thanks to goals from Julian Kristoffersen in the first half and Mamadou Coulibaly in the second half.

Young Palermo striker Andrea Silipo netted the only goal for the Rosanero from the spot.

A Filip Djuricic brace and a goal of 20-year-old Giacomo Manzari helped Sassuolo beat Parma 3-0 at the Stadio Tardini.

Parma defender Botond Balogh was sent off for a foul on Ciccio Caputo at the edge of the box after the hour mark.
