Roma drew 1-1 with Olympiacos this evening, with new signing Matias Soulé in the starting XI and Artem Dovbyk making his debut off the bench.

The Giallorossi played in Rieti, near the Eternal City, in the final pre-season test before flying out to London for a tour of matches.

Tammy Abraham, who has been heavily linked with a move to Milan, started upfront with support from Soulé and Nicola Zalewski.

Angelino went on a strong run and set up Abraham, who was brought down by Ortega for a penalty, converted by captain Lorenzo Pellegrini.

However, moments later Zeki Celik made a huge mistake playing out from the back and in a bid to make up for it, clattered into Velde.

Rodine stepped up and converted, despite Mile Svilar getting close to the ball.

Celik went close to restoring the lead with a back-heel flick on the Pellegrini cross and coach Daniele De Rossi made changes at half-time, introducing Paulo Dybala, Stephan El Shaarawy and debutant Dovbyk, among others.

El Shaarawy’s trademark curler was just wide, while Svilar fingertipped a Velde header onto the crossbar and in the final minute Dovbyk failed to finish it when sent through by Dybala.
