The 51-year-old spoke to Corriere dello Sport ahead of the new season and called Lupi captain Francesco Totti ‘a force of nature.’

"Here in Italy there is a rivalry that doesn’t exist in France, given that no city has two football teams.

“It’d be nice if there was a simpler relationship and more transfers between Lazio and us. In Rome it’s rare that a player moves from one team to another.

"We would like to open the doors during the team’s training sessions because we have nothing to hide and would be great to establish direct contact with the fans.

“Unfortunately, this is not possible for reasons of logistics and security.

"Francesco Totti is a force of nature, the captain, a model professional.

“Pjanic is an attacking midfielder who’s better at making the final pass than scoring goals.”
