The Corriere dello Sport reports that the American businessman has landed in Italy to initiate the process, but it may take a few weeks until the handover becomes official.

The newspaper claims that the contracts will be signed before the end of February as Friedkin arrived in Milan with his son Ryan. Due to a huge amount of paperwork, the process will require some time to be completed.

After a letter of intent signed towards the end of 2019, the handover of James Pallotta’s Roma is in the making and Friedkin’s representatives have, according to Calciomercato.com, already “completed the analysis and study phase”.

The report claims that the official takeover will take place next month and we are talking about a €780m contract between the two parties.

In addition, the Friedkin Group will add €130m in capital increase, already approved by the club and another €110m for the next balance sheet.

Tonight, Friedkin might be seen in the stands at the Allianz Stadium, when Roma are playing Juventus in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia.
