Dan Friedkin is reportedly unhappy with James Pallotta’s comments about his group’s failed takeover of Roma.

Pallotta called out Friedkin for making ‘a semi-concrete offer that just wasn’t close to being acceptable’ in an interview published on Roma’s official website.

However, he invited the businessman to come back with a better offer than his opening gambit of €575m, revised down due to the coronavirus pandemic.

However, he invited the businessman to come back with a better offer than his opening gambit of €575m, revised down due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Now, RomaPress.net claims the interview has ‘annoyed’ and even ‘upset’ some senior members of The Friedkin Group, including Dan himself.

As per the website, Pallotta and his investor group ‘are not negotiating in good faith’, failing to factor in the devastating impact of COVID-19 on the world’s economy.

His decision to reject the bid is also said to have ‘dismayed’ the Giallorossi’s own stakeholders.
