Genoa goalkeeper Sebastien Frey has described Parma as one of the revelations of the Serie A season.
The two teams will face each other at the Stadio Tardini this weekend and the Frenchman is expecting to be tested.
“Parma, especially at home, have been one of the surprises of the championship,” he commented on Friday.
“They’ve been playing at a really high level and, as a result, you have to consider them as one of the revelations of the season.
“They are a really compact group, strong on the counter-attack, with players who have quality and pace.
“Parma are one of the most difficult sides to face in the League.”
Roberto Donadoni’s team, who are tenth in Serie A, have only lost one game at home all season – 2-1 to Napoli two weeks ago.
Frey spent four years at Parma before his 2005 switch to Fiorentina. He won the Coppa Italia in 2002 with the Gialloblu.
