However, Frey, who himself moved to Marassi from Fiorentina” data-scaytid=”10″>Fiorentina in August, has backed the tactician after the 1-0 win over Novara.

“I’m really happy with the Coach,” the former Inter man noted. “He’s a person who pays close attention to human relationships with his players.

“He’s also charged up the older elements of the squad, like myself, with responsibility and we like that aspect.

“We’re all delighted with the victory on Sunday as that win gave us oxygen, it improved our morale and was good news for the standings.”

Genoa are joint seventh in the table on 15 points with Napoli, Chievo and Parma.
