Atalanta midfielder Remo Freuler said the Orobici are ‘confident’ after the performance against Inter but stressed ‘a very difficult game awaits us’.

The Orobici prepare for the second round of fixtures in the Champions League, hoping to secure their first win in the competition this term.

Atalanta started the group stage with a 2-2 draw with Villarreal in Spain but are unbeaten in four games ahead of the home game against Young Boys.

Freuler pointed at the 2-2 draw with Italian champions Inter last time and believes the Orobici are ‘confident’ ahead of the next European game.

“They are a great team,” Freuler said at a press conference. “They have won the Swiss championship four times.

“A very difficult game awaits us. But Atalanta are going well. We played a great game in Milan, it will give us confidence for the match tomorrow.”

Atalanta are playing in the Champions League for the third consecutive season and have advanced from the group stage on both previous occasions.

Gian Piero Gasperini, who has never been eliminated from the group stages in the Champions League, revealed Luis Muriel will be back in the squad for the game at the Gewiss Stadium, as the Colombian has recovered after a month out with an injury.
