The recent police investigation into potential match-fixing and irregularities has now spread to the sporting justice system.

The FIGC prosecutors deferred over 100 people to the Disciplinary Commission, including 36 clubs, in Serie B and Lega Pro.

Of these clubs, seven are accused of direct responsibility, which would see them automatically demoted if found guilty.

The first verdicts will be by mid-August with an appeal expected to be delivered by the end of that month.

The side most at risk is Catania, currently signed up for the 2015-16 season in Serie B.

Ex-President Antonino Pulvirenti, CEO Pablo Cosentino, director of sport Daniele Delli Carri, agent Fernando Arbotti, director Piero Di Luzio and Gianluca Impellizzeri are accused of sporting fraud.

As they are those in charge, the club is charged with direct responsibility, as it cannot claim the players acted without their knowledge.

The Catania games under the spotlight were against Avellino, Varese, Trapani, Latina, Ternana and Livorno, but so far none of these clubs are accused of wrong-doing.

Catania are at serious risk of demotion to Lega Pro and the same goes for Teramo, who only just secured their promotion into Serie B.

The situation in Lega Pro is astonishing, as 32 clubs are involved in the investigation and 31 games under scrutiny.

As well as Teramo, others accused of direct responsibility are Savona, Vigor Lamezia, Torres, Barletta and Brindisi.

L’Aquila are only charged with indirect responsibility, but with regards to 20 different matches.
