Inter, Milan and Juventus target Davide Frattesi admits he’s chosen his next club: ‘I am sure my agent will find a way to satisfy me.’

The 23-year-old is wanted by some of the best clubs in Italy and is expected to leave Sassuolo in the summer.

“I am so grateful to this club,” Frattesi told Gazzetta on Friday (page 8).

“It will be forever in my heart. Now I am ready to go. Alessio Dionisi was so important for my growth. He and the club waited for me.”

Inter, Juventus and Milan have all met the player’s agent Beppe Riso over the last few days to discuss a potential deal.

“It’s a nice feeling, I can’t deny that. I am a little nervous now, I’d like to define this situation,” said Frattesi.

“I think about my grandpa Carmine. He used to read papers, loved football and today, he’d be so happy.”

Inter are believed to have agreed terms with the Italian midfielder, although Milan may have the money Sassuolo want after selling Sandro Tonali to Newcastle United.

“I’ll try to be extremely sincere. I’ve chosen my next club and I am sure my agent will find a way to satisfy me,” admitted Frattesi. “But I know there are other clubs interested.”

During a press conference at Coveriano attended by Football Italia earlier this month, Frattesi said that he wanted to continue playing in Serie A, possibly in a team that uses a three-man midfield.

“I am a mezzala (a box-to-box midfielder) and I want to be used for my characteristics,” he insisted.

“I think it’s normal. You [journalist] like to write. If somebody asks you to present a TV show, maybe you think about it, but then you try to continue writing. Well, the concept is the same for me.”

Inter and Milan will play in the Champions League next season, but Juventus won’t. Will this have an impact on his decision?

“I think about it [the Champions League], I’d like to play it, but it’s not the first thing, the project counts more,” said Frattesi.

“At the same time, there’s no difference between a team ready to win and one that must rebuild. I’d be motivated in the same way. I am 23 and it’s time for me to take on certain responsibilities.”
