Davide Frattesi’s agent confirms Inter and Sassuolo are ‘only a few details away’ from a transfer and that this was the midfielder’s ‘preference.’

The Nerazzurri had agreed personal terms weeks ago, so while Milan, Roma and even Juventus were linked, Inter were always the favourites.

Now that Marcelo Brozovic has been sold to Al-Nassr, that freed up the resources to make this move stick.

It will be a loan with obligation to buy for €25m plus ownership of striker Samuele Mulattieri, who is valued at €8m.

“We are very close to a deal, the two clubs are only a few details away from finding the agreement. Davide really wanted this, we are happy,” agent Beppe Riso told reporters after leaving a two-hour meeting with Inter.

Mulattieri’s representatives also met with both Inter and Sassuolo this evening in a flurry of encounters to define personal terms.

Riso was asked if Inter had always been the top of Frattesi’s list.

“His preference is Inter.”

Sky Sport Italia report it will be a five-year contract at €2.8m per season.

The agent also represents other Inter players like Valentin Carboni and Stefano Sensi, while Roberto Gagliardini is a free agent after his contract with the Nerazzurri expired.

“We talked about Carboni, Sensi, a bit of everything, so we are evaluating all the options, but we didn’t talk about Sensi going abroad.

“We are defining Gagliardini’s agreement with Monza, we should be there next week.”
