Juventus full back Gianluca Frabotta has returned to Turin following an eight-week loan spell with Lecce that didn’t go as planned.
The 23-year-old Italian left back joined the Puglian side last month on a season-long loan deal from the Bianconeri, but he failed to play a single minute in Lecce’s opening three games across Serie A and the Coppa Italia.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Frabotta has now left Lecce to briefly return to Turin, where Juventus will try to find a new home for the 23-year-old. The Bianconeri want him to receive regular minutes whilst on loan, something that Lecce didn’t initially provide.
The Old Lady signed Frabotta from Bologna’s youth system in August 2019 in a deal worth around €2.6m. He spent last season on loan with Hellas Verona, but he only made two appearances after missing the majority of the season due to a calf injury.
They should keep him in the squad.
