Four more Serie A players were on the scoresheet during Saturday’s international fixtures, including Inter midfielder Piotr Zielinski, two familiar faces for Romania and a Milan combination for USA’s opener against Panama.

Zielinski grabbed what turned out to be a consolation goal during Poland’s 3-1 loss at home to Portugal in Warsaw. His 78th minute strike was the third goal of the game, with Jan Bednarek later scoring an own goal to restore the visitors’ two-goal lead. 

Romania picked up a 3-0 Nations League win away against Cyprus, with their first two goals coming from Parma winger Dennis Man and Cagliari midfielder Razvan Marin. Another familiar Serie A face in former Genoa defender Radu Dragusin got the third. 

Two Milan players combined for the USA in their 2-0 win over Panama, as Christian Pulisic claimed the assist for Yunus Musah’s first ever international goal in Austin. 

This international break has also seen goals from Inter wing-back Denzel Dumfries for the Netherlands, three Lazio players in Boulaye Dia, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Matteo Guendouzi for Senegal, Nigeria and France respectively. 

Andrea Cambiaso and Mateo Retegui grabbed Italy’s goals on Thursday, while Venezia’s Joel Pohjanpalo also scored for Finland in an eventual 2-1 loss against Ireland on the same night.
