Four Serie A players scored in the opening Nations League games in the October break, including Andrea Cambiaso and Mateo Retegui.

The Italian pair found the net in a 2-2 draw against Belgium at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome Thursday.

Italy dominated in the first half, but the game changed after a red card to Lorenzo Pellegrini at minute 40.

Italy play at home again on Monday, meeting Israel at Udine’s Bluenergy Stadium.

Four Serie A goalscorers in opening October Nations League games

Two other Serie A players scored in the opening Nations League games in the October break.

Lazio midfielder Matteo Guendouzi scored in France’s 4-1 win over Israel. The former Arsenal midfielder also provided an assist for France’s fourth goal, scored by Bradley Barcola.

Venezia star Joel Pohjanpalo opened the account in Finland’s home game against Ireland on Thursday, but it was not enough to avoid defeat as the visitors completed a comeback, securing a 2-1 win with goals from Liam Scales and Robbie Brady.
