The highest-paid coach in the world is believed to be Diego Simeone, but Antonio Conte, Max Allegri, Carlo Ancelotti, Simone Inzaghi and Jose Mourinho are in the top 10.
L’Equipe and Calcio e Finanza gave their line-up of the football tacticians with the largest salaries in world football, although these are based on reported figures and most are not formally announced.
Cholo Simeone is believed to be the top earner with an astonishing €40m per season gross with Atletico Madrid, the role he has held since December 2011 and is contracted to until June 2024.
Pep Guardiola at Manchester City is reported to earn €23m per year gross, with Jurgen Klopp picking up €17.5m per season at Liverpool.
Conte is the top-earning Italian thanks to his Tottenham Hotspur deal, believed to be worth €18m gross per year.
Allegri follows at Juventus with €12m per year, while Ancelotti is said to be getting €11m per season in his second Real Madrid stint.
Mourinho is reportedly earning €9.2m per season gross at Roma, with Simone Inzaghi rounding out the top 10 at Inter on circa €7m.
Julian Nagelsmann of Bayern Munich was placed eighth in the list on €8m.
