Milan’s Jeremy Menez has picked up a four-game ban for his conduct in the defeat to Genoa on Wednesday night.

The Frenchman was sent off for a second yellow card during the 3-1 reverse, launching a tirade of abuse at the referee.

The Lega Serie A has enforced the automatic one match ban for Menez’s red card, as well as a further two game ban for “insulting remarks aimed at the officials.”

In addition, the fourth official heard the forward use a “profane expression”, leading to a further one game ban.

Emmanuel Badu of Udinese has been slapped with a two-match ban after being sent off in the defeat to Inter, as well as insulting the referee as he went off.

Gonzalo Rodriguez of Fiorentina has been banned for one match after picking up his eighth booking of the season, as well as being fined €1,500 for arguing with the referee.

The fine was incurred because Rodriguez was wearing the captain’s armband at the time.

Ishak Belfodil and Antonio Mirante [Parma], Yohan Benalouane [Atalanta], Nicolas Burdisso [Genoa], Paolo Cannavaro [Sassuolo], Patrice Evra [Juventus], Miroslav Klose [Lazio], Guillermo Rodriguez and Mattia Valoti [Verona], Giuseppe Vives [Torino] as well as Lorenzo Tonelli [Empoli] will all face a week on the sidelines after picking up one caution too many.

Roma have been fined €15,000 after their fans sang discriminatory songs based on ‘territorial origin’, while Udinese must pay €2,000 as punishment for chants insulting the referee.
