Four Chelsea players including Jorginho are unhappy with Romelu Lukaku’s recent controversial interview.

The 28-year-old Belgian forward has caused uproar in West London following the interview with Sky Sports, where he stated that was “unhappy with the situation” and that he would return to Inter one day in the future.

As reported by The Athletic, Jorginho, César Azpilicueta, N’Golo Kanté and Antonio Rüdiger are amongst the small group of players who met with coach Thomas Tuchel to express their frustration with his comments and they agreed to condemn Lukaku’s statements, as well as give their approval on his decision to drop the Belgian for the match against Liverpool.

One source told the British news outlet that “I was speaking to one of the players and asked him if anyone was sticking up for Lukaku. He said no. None of them can believe he’s done it.”

Lukaku will meet with Tuchel today to personally discuss the situation and to clarify if he’ll be called up for the upcoming Carabao Cup semi-final against Tottenham later this week.

  1. Can we just be honest about things, supposed Football ITALIA ?

How does 15 articles about a player playing in England concern those interested in calcio?

  2. He has been the best player of the last season in italy and has been transfered to UK for a record breaking fee. Now he wants back to his old love in italy. so this is all about calcio

  3. @ Brandon

He played for Inter, moved to Chelsea from Inter, has just said he wanted to stay at Inter as his first choice option after asking them about a new contract and said that he hopes to come back to Inter BEFORE he is past his best: he is 29, and on a five year deal at Chelsea. Which means if he wanted to come back to Inter before he is past his prime then he will not make it to the end of that Chelsea deal.

Now, how on earth is that NOT a situation that has links back to Inter and Italian foorball? Some people just can’t join the dots can they!

  4. And that part of the story is well and truly done.

The stuff about Tuechel a) will talk to him b) did talk to him c) benched him d) will talk to him tomorrow, I can do without.

There has to be a dozen stories about it.

This journalist should ask Jorginho why he is almost automatic from the spot for Chelsea but has missed his last 3 for Italy. Second question, if he is aware that he is the direct reason they are going to a Playoff.
