Former Verona and Udinese coach Igor Tudor has agreed a two-year contract to take over at Olympique Marseille.

Multiple sources are confident the deal has been done and Tudor will be managing in Ligue 1 this season.

The Croatian will replace Jorge Sampaoli at the Stade Velodrome.

The 44-year-old had achieved great things at Verona when rescuing them from a dismal start in September 2021 and took them to mid-table comfort, even threatening to challenge for Europe.

He spent the 2020-21 campaign as the assistant manager to Andrea Pirlo at Juventus, while before that was at the helm of Hajduk Split, Udinese, Galatasaray, Karabukspor, PAOK Salonika and was assistant manager of the Croatia national team.
