Former Juventus and Italy goalkeeper Stefano Tacconi is reportedly in hospital in critical condition.

The 64-year-old was in Asti this morning, having taken part in an event the night before, and was taken to hospital after feeling unwell.

According to news agency ANSA, Tacconi is currently at the neurosurgery wing of the Alessandria hospital, near Turin, and his condition is believed to be serious.

La Repubblica report Tacconi has suffered an aneurysm.

Tacconi wore the Juventus jersey from 1983 to 1992 and now works as a television pundit.

He also played for Spoleto, Inter, Pro Patria, Livorno, Avellino and Genoa before his retirement in 1995.

There were seven senior Italy caps in his career and 387 Serie A games.
