As reported last month, Jose Fontes has left Leicester City and will be the new chief scout for Jose Mourinho’s Roma.

The link had already been made on May 20 by Tuttomercatoweb, as reported by Football Italia, with negotiations already at a very advanced stage.

Today, Fontes announced on social media that he is leaving Leicester City after five years.

“I have decided to leave Leicester City FC after 5 unforgettable years,” wrote Fontes.

“The journey has been truly memorable. I wish the club and all foxes fans continued success for the future.”

Fontes and Mourinho are part of the Portuguese revolution at Roma, following in the footsteps of director Tiago Pinto and former coach Paulo Fonseca.
