“It’s still a difficult match. It’s true they have changed coach, but I saw some of Brescia’s other matches, for example against Inter and Napoli, so they have talented players,” said Fonseca in his press conference.
Leonardo Spinazzola is out, Henrikh Mkhitaryan “is in the final phase of recovery, but is not ready for this game. I think both will be ready for the next match.
“Pastore had a bruised hip over the last few days, so today we decided he’s not going to play this weekend. Lorenzo Pellegrini is ready to play. That means Gianluca Mancini can return to his usual role in central defence.
“Media coverage or performances on international duty are irrelevant. I decide when Alessandro Florenzi will play and he is still our captain.
“We must improve as a team in every area, physically, mentally and in technique.”
Fonseca was asked about Inter coach Antonio Conte’s comments that he advises his players on how to have sex in order to not tire themselves out before a game.
“I am only concerned with my own situation. I don’t want to know!”
