Paulo Fonseca considers using a four-man defence against Benevento and reveals why Bryan Reynolds has returned to the US.
The likes of Chris Smalling, Roger Ibanez, Bryan Cristante and Marash Kumbulla are out of action and Fonseca is considering his options ahead of the Giallorossi’s Serie A clash against Benevento.

“We must be 100% focused, they are very aggressive right now, they will need a good game defensively."

“I’ve thought about a four-man defence, but you’ll have to wait and see what happens tomorrow,” the coach claimed.
“[Leonardo] Spinazzola has changed. It was due to the new system and his collapsed move to Inter one year ago.
“The system is important, he’s been playing on a regular basis and a player needs to feel this kind of trust,” Fonseca explained.
“I hope Cristante will return for the second leg clash against Braga, while both Kumbulla and Smalling are feeling better, but I think Kumbulla will return earlier.”

“You’ll see tomorrow,” Fonseca replied.
How is Bryan Reynolds settling in?
“We can’t forget he hadn’t played for two months. He needs individual trainings to recover his best fitness.
“Now, he is back in the United States to solve some bureaucratic problems, we are working with him to let him work with the team quickly.”
