Foggia’s former President has had an appeal against a ban rejected, but the eight point deduction must be “reformulated” in light of Serie B being reduced.

The Serie B side were initially deducted 15 points for the actions of owner Fedele Sannella, who is accused of money laundering and tax evasion.

Roberto De Zerbi was initially given a ban, but he was later cleared and is now on the bench at Sassuolo.

Sannella, Francesco Domenico Sannella and the club all appealed their respective punishments to CONI, and the Olympic federation has released its verdict.

The three-year ban against the former President is upheld, but Francesco Domenico Sannella's one year ban has for failing to control the accounting practices has been overturned.

CONI also accepted Foggia’s appeal against the eight point deduction, ruling that the FIGC “will have to reformulate the penalty after the change of format of Serie B, which changed to 19 teams”.
