A warrant has been issued for the arrest of the club’s accountant, Gazzetta dello Sport reports, as he’s accused of avoiding tax.
The newspaper reports that both De Zerbi and Pietro Iemmello were beneficiaries, with the former allegedly paid €15,050.
It’s alleged that honorary vice-President Ruggiero Massimo Curci paid in cash to avoid tax.

“I write this in the name and the interest of Mr Roberto De Zerbi to challenge the statements made in recent days by some media outlets, according to which my client, at the time he was at Foggia Calcio, received unofficial remunerations,” Marcello D’Onofrio, De Zerbi’s lawyer, said in a statement.
“To this end, I make it clear that Mr De Zerbi learned of the existence such events with amazement, having never before spoken to investigators, neither as a person informed of the facts or in any other capacity.
“In any case, I’d like to make clear his absolute non-involvement with the issues in question, having received all and any forms or remuneration in the official manner, in the form of a bank transfer.
“Therefore, any attempt to tarnish the good name and reputation of Mr De Zerbi will be firmly opposed and pursued in every avenue.”
Also accused of received untaxed payments are eight former players; Enrico Guarna (€13,500), Roberto Floriano (€25,000), Alan Empereur (€50,000), Pietro Arcidiacono (€20,000), Cosimo Chiricò (€18,477), Vincenzo Sarno (€14,055), Antonio Junior Vacca (€24,568) and Pietro Iemmello (€24.568).
It’s also alleged De Zerbi’s former assistant Davide Possanzini received €15,049.
None of the men have been charged with any offence.
