Chelsea are pushing hard to finalise a deal for Leicester City’s Wesley Fofana, a move that could allow Milan to pick up Trevoh Chalobah, reports suggest.
The Rossoneri are still working hard to pick up a new defender and a new midfielder before the summer transfer window closes next week, and one of their main targets for the backline is the 23-year-old Chalobah, who seems unlikely to play a significant role under Thomas Tuchel this season.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Chelsea are pushing to agree a deal for Fofana, a move that would allow them to re-home Chalobah. Milan are keen to pick up the 23-year-old Englishman on a loan deal with a buy option attached, a formula that took Fikayo Tomori from London to Lombardy.
The Rossoneri are also keeping a close eye on Schalke centre back Malick Thiaw, who could be the alternative should Chalobah prove impossible to pick up.
