Fofana came off the bench in the second half but helped contribute as Kevin Lasagna and Ilija Nestorovski scored the goals at the Olimpico.
“I carefully observed the game when I was out and I understood where I could find the spaces to hurt them,” Fofana told Udinese TV.
“Today, I’m happy because we won with a large group and we changed some players who responded very well. We must keep on working and believe in ourselves.
Now, Fofana wanted to dedicate the win to Mandragora, who ruptured his ACL against Torino on June 23.
“The win had been missing for too long, but we remembered the first leg against Roma and wanted to get revenge.
“We dedicate this win to our brother Mandragora, he’s a good boy and added value to the whole team. Today, we are happy and must continue down this road."
