Milan have finalised a contract agreement with Youssouf Fofana and will soon present a new offer to Monaco for the midfielder.

The Rossoneri have been seriously targeting the 25-year-old French midfielder for a number of weeks now, believing him to be the perfect reinforcement for Paulo Fonseca’s squad. A number of clubs are also interested in the player, including Manchester United and Atletico Madrid.

Milan already agreed to the rough terms of a contract with Fofana a fortnight ago, willing to offer a four-year contract with an option for a fifth worth around €3m net per season plus €500,000 in add-ons, a €1m raise compared to his current terms at Monaco.

The Rossoneri’s initial €12m plus add-ons offer was rejected by the Ligue 1 side and they’re preparing to send in a new proposal closer to €20m.
