France international Youssouf Fofana has arrived in Milan and is now ready to formally complete his transfer to join Paulo Fonseca’s side in a €25m move from Ligue 1 outfit Monaco.

After many weeks of negotiations, Milan and Monaco finally agreed a deal for the 25-year-old on Thursday evening in a deal worth a total package of €25m.

Outlets in France specify that the deal is made up of €23m plus €2m in add-ons, while some in Italy maintain that Milan were able to get the deal done for €20m and up to €5m in bonuses.

Fofana is expected to head straight to his hotel for the night, and is scheduled to have a medical with the Rossoneri on Saturday morning.

Milan could even potentially make an official announcement before kick-off in their Serie A season opener against Torino on Saturday evening.
