Alessandro Florenzi’s PSG debut did not go entirely to plan, as his team lost 1-0 to Olympique Marseille in a game with five red cards, including Neymar.
The Italy international made his transfer from Roma on loan with option to buy earlier this week and was thrown straight into the starting XI on Sunday evening.
Florenzi ended up playing 84 minutes of the Ligue 1 match, which ended 1-0 for Marseille thanks to a Florian Thauvin goal.
He wasn’t the main headline, though, thanks to a chaotic and bitter affair that saw five players sent off.

Leandro Paredes started the brawl by seemingly punching Dario Benedetto, then Layvin Kurzawa and Jordan Amavi got into a running battle.
They were all sent off, along with Neymar, who was caught on VAR punching Alvaro in the back of the head.
Neymar later accused his opponent of racially abusing him and wrote on Twitter his only regret was not punching him harder in the face.
The row erupted in stoppages, after Florenzi had already been substituted.
PSG have lost both opening Ligue 1 games this season and rumours continue to suggest Max Allegri is first in line to replace coach Thomas Tuchel.
