“Roma-Juventus is always a special game and we know how much it means to the people of this city, but ultimately it is worth three points and we need to chase those points down in every way,” Florenzi told Sky Sport Italia.

“This has been the worst of the last six seasons at Roma, as we dropped points when we had the victory in our pockets. There are many reasons why Juve are so far ahead of us, but right now we need to just get back on track.”
Florenzi was asked about the age-old Cristiano Ronaldo v Lionel Messi debate.
“I see in Ronaldo’s attitude the desire to always be the best or at least try to be, that hunger to constantly improve. I could compare these two to LeBron James and Steph Curry, or Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal. They are very different, as one is focused on constant work ethic, the other a gift from God.”
Messi’s Barcelona were knocked out of the Champions League after a 3-0 first leg semi-final win over Liverpool, managing to lose the decider 4-0 at Anfield.
“Perhaps the most exciting moment in a Roma jersey was our comeback against Barcelona last year. We hope to be back in the Champions League and do even better next year.”
The Stadio della Roma project continues to be delayed and Florenzi joked he felt a little like Francesco Totti, who had said he wanted to play in the new arena only to retire without a brick being laid.
“If it carries on like this, I’ll end up like him… I think this club and these fans have the right to their own stadium.”
