Roma’s Alessandro Florenzi has made the final-three for the Puskas Award, FIFA’s Goal of the Year prize.

The Italian international scored a stunning effort from just inside the halfway line against Barcelona in the Champions League earlier this season, earning him a place on the shortlist.

The other contenders for the prize are Barça’s Lionel Messi, for a solo effort in the Copa Del Rey final against Athletic Club, and Wendell Lira, who scored a bicycle kick for Goianesia.
