Alessandro Florenzi warns Milan ‘there are many finals coming up and this was the first’ after beating Empoli 1-0, but he is in no rush to decide his future.

Pierre Kalulu scored his first goal of the season, meaning the Rossoneri now have 16 different players who found the back of the net.

“It’s an important evening. There are many finals coming up, this was the first, the next will be against Cagliari,” Florenzi told Sky Sport Italia.

“If we continue with this determination and team spirit, we can do well, but it won’t be easy because Cagliari play good football.

“Now we rest a few days and prepare for the next battle.”

Milan are now five points clear at the top, but Inter have two games in hand, so could still technically be ahead of their city rivals.

“We must focus only on our own path, keep notching up points and putting pressure on the others.”

Considering Florenzi is only on loan from Roma, does he expect to remain at Milan for next season?

“I am not thinking about that. I just want to put myself at the disposal of the coach and then we’ll see what happens.”
