Alessandro Florenzi should finally have his Milan medical tomorrow after Roma agreed the terms of this loan with option to buy.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the deal has been done for €1m on the one-season loan and an option to make the move permanent at the end of this term for a further €4-4.5m.

Florenzi was desperate to get the agreement over the line, even agreeing to give up on one month’s salary that he was still owed by Roma.

He spent last season on loan at Paris Saint-Germain, before that spending six months with Valencia.

Despite being in the side that won UEFA EURO 2020 for Italy, Florenzi was not part of coach Jose Mourinho’s plans.

The clubs had hoped to get the deal done yesterday, but the final details were sorted out this evening and his medical is now booked for tomorrow.

Although the 30-year-old is now best-known as a right-back, he can also play on the left, in midfield or on either wing.
