Alessandro Florenzi feels Roma “are ready to win the Scudetto this year,” but fears Inter the most.

He is turning into a fine right-back during Douglas Maicon’s injury, but can also play wide midfield or in a trident attack.

The Giallorossi beat reigning Champions Juventus 2-1 at the weekend and are raising the bar.

The Giallorossi beat reigning Champions Juventus 2-1 at the weekend and are raising the bar.

“We are ready to win the Scudetto this year and really ended the transfer market with a bang,” Florenzi told Rai Sport.

“The best buys of all were the ones who stayed, like Radja Nainggolan and Miralem Pjanic. Of the new arrivals, a player like Edin Dzeko can certainly help us a great deal.

“Inter got some important figures on the market and now it’s up to the Coach to mix it all up together. They’ll want to annoy us and Juventus for the title, plus obviously Milan.

“Without Andrea Pirlo, Carlos Tevez and Arturo Vidal, the Bianconeri have lost a lot. It’s not easy to replace champions like that, but they have others and remain a super squad.”

Roma have played two games this season, but Francesco Totti remained on the bench throughout.

“Totti is a symbol of this team and the city. He’s very relaxed about it all and will help us during the campaign.

“I am very happy, because being a Roman and a Romanista, I have made a childhood dream come true. I used to watch symbols like Totti and Daniele De Rossi, believing them to be out of reach. Now they are my teammates.”
