Alessandro Florenzi says he is ready to ‘give 100 percent’ and ‘show what I can do to all the fans’ as Valencia prepare to restart their season.
Florenzi joined Valencia on loan from Roma in January but played just five times due to a bout of chickenpox, followed by the coronavirus lockdown.
Now, amidst reports the Spanish side have extended his stay, the right-sider is chomping at the bit ahead of La Liga resuming on June 11.

Now, amidst reports the Spanish side have extended his stay, the right-sider is chomping at the bit ahead of La Liga resuming on June 11.
“I’m doing really well,” the 29-year-old told their official website.
“I’ve stayed at home for two months, which I’ve tried to make the most of to be physically fit.
“Now we’ve started to do group training sessions. We hope to be training all together really soon because we want to end the season ell.
“It hasn’t been easy because I started off playing three games, then I had chickenpox and then came the COVID-19 situation, so I’ve not been able to enjoy the atmosphere around Valencia or feel the stadium.
“I really want to show what I can do to all the fans. It won’t be easy for us to play without them here.
“We’re all aware of the Valencia fanbase’s strength and we saw it ahead of the return leg against Atalanta: how they got behind us even from outside the stadium.
“It’s sure to be different playing without fans in attendance, but nevertheless we want to give them great joy in this difficult period.
“I’ve been going for runs down the riverbed a couple of times whenever I can and I’ve seen so many people in Valencia shirts. That made me really happy.
“It’s our job, but it’s also our passion. It’s what lights a fire inside us. What lights that fire for me is the ball.
“We’re really looking forward to restarting the season. We’re happy that football is starting again soon and we can’t wait to get back out on to the pitch.
“I want to give 100 percent to this shirt, fighting from the first minute to the 90th, looking to help my teammates, and reach our objective, which is to win as many matches as possible to qualify for the Champions League.
“Playing without our fans in the stadium is going to be tough for us because we know how much they get behind us at Mestalla.
“We know they’re our 12th man. We’ll definitely be giving our all for them on the pitch, even though they won’t be with us.”
