Roma full-back Alessandro Florenzi is expected to be out of action for three weeks after suffering a calf strain on international duty.

The Giallorossi vice-captain pulled up during training with Italy and was forced to quit the camp ahead of Euro 2020 qualifiers against Finland and Liechtenstein.

He had tests that confirmed a lesion to the soleus muscle in his left calf.

This type of injury generally requires a two to three week lay-off.

It means Florenzi is expected to miss Serie A matches against Fiorentina, Sampdoria and Udinese.
