Florenzi and Simy preparing for medicals

Alessandro Florenzi at Milan and Nwankwo Simy at Salernitana are just some of the players lining up medicals for tomorrow, while other transfers were completed today.

The Serie A season kicks off on Saturday and clubs are still frantically trading players on the transfer market.

According to Sportitalia, Roma are expected to give the final all-clear tonight for Florenzi to join Milan.

It’s expected to be a loan at €0.5m with option to buy for a further €4.5m.

He should therefore be able to have his medical on Thursday.

Elsewhere, Nigeria international striker Simy has finally arrived in Salerno ahead of tomorrow morning’s medical tests.

He is ready to complete the move from Crotone, on loan with obligation to buy for a total €6m including bonuses.

The negotiations had dragged on for some time, but were finally concluded over the last 24 hours.

Simy scored 20 goals in 38 Serie A appearances last season, but was still unable to prevent Crotone’s relegation to Serie B.

Meanwhile, Brescia today completed two moves, as they signed Rodrigo Palacio from Bologna and picked up Mehdi Leris on loan with option to buy from Sampdoria.

Lazio announced three minor transfers today, as Simone Palombi has been sold to Alessandria, Marco Alia was loaned to Monterosi Calcio and Andrea Marino loaned to Piacenza.

Genuinely surprised Simy didn’t move to a bigger team after an excellent season.
