Lazio have officially sold striker Sergio Floccari to Sassuolo, loaned Vinicius to Padova but deal with a fan protest around Hernanes.

The Roman club is very active in the January transfer window, signing Helder Postiga on loan with option to buy from Valencia this afternoon.

They released a statement confirming Floccari has been sold to Sassuolo on a permanent basis for an undisclosed fee.

Left-back Vinicius De Freitas Ribeiro has also been loaned to Serie B side Padova with an option to buy at the end of the season.

The focus is all on Hernanes, who left the Formello training ground in tears and had to be comforted by fans.

Now over 200 ultras are staging a protest at the ground and are demanding talks with director of sport Igli Tare.

“We haven’t sold him yet,” Tare told Radio Radio this afternoon.

Meanwhile, Hernanes’ wife Erica wrote on Instagram: “He cries because he loves you.”

The Brazilian’s tears would suggest a transfer to Inter is imminent, but the various media sources continue to insist there is no deal.

Now that Ibrahima Mbaye has been removed from negotiations, Lazio demand a cash-only sum of at least €17m.
