Barcelona coach Hansi Flick expressed his disappointment after their Champions League elimination at the hands of Inter, voicing his frustration with what he considered an ‘unfair’ result and some refereeing decisions that, in his opinion, were in favour the Nerazzurri.
“We are all disappointed, as we put so much into this game,” said Flick at an ill-tempered press conference.
“Some 50-50 decisions all went Inter’s way, but that’s how it goes. I am proud of the team, I think the result is unfair and that some of the referee’s decisions were very good, but not in our favour. This is football, they deserved it and their fans were excellent, but we will be back next season.”

Flick was asked what specifically he had a problem with in terms of the officiating of Polish referee Szymon Marciniak.
“I don’t want to talk about it too much, it would not be fair to my team, who had a great performance. I don’t want to talk about the referee. I told him what I needed to say.”
Flick: I want to wish Inter good luck for the Champions League final
Flick and Pau Victor on the Barcelona bench were both booked for dissent, but while the Pau Cubarsi tackle on Lautaro Martinez looked clean from behind, the VAR view from the front made it obvious he didn’t get the ball.
However, Flick also took the opportunity to credit Simone Inzaghi’s men ‘both defensively and offensively’, while also wishing them ‘good luck’ for the final in Munich.
“Today, Inter’s forwards were very good, they held the ball well and are very strong players, but also experienced. We have a young team and we need to improve; our task will be to get better. From every point of view, both defensively and offensively.”

“We will analyse this match, but this is football and we can’t always win. We have to accept that. Now this game is over and we have to think about the next one, in a few days. It’s easier when you win, but we need to do it and have the hunger to win titles.
“I want to add something, since I also spoke about the referee: I want to wish Inter good luck, because they played a great match, and I want to wish them good luck in Munich.”

Mkhitaryan foul on Yamal continued into the area. Definite pen. But Barcelona paid for conceding really poor goals. In both legs, they didn’t manage the games well at 0-0 and also when in the lead. Possibly an experience i55ue. Had Kounde and Balde been available over both legs, it would’ve been a different story.
where ia the unfair? from my view, it was unfair to inter. luckily there was VAR.
1. lautaro’s penalty not given before VAR check
2. miki foul outside the box but given penalty and reversed after VAR check
3. blow half time whistle in OT with the play enter barca’s final field and go to goal with barella.
1. Mhitaryan was on a yellow when he fouled Yamal – no 2nd yellow and pen wrongly overturned as the foul continued into the box
2. Martin fouled by Thuram in build up to the late equaliser.
3. Bastoni and Di Marco making umpteenth fouls on Yamal in normal time, and yet no caution.
4. Blatant handball by acerbi on a shot that was heading towards goal.
5. Bastoni holding Yamal’s shirt at the top of his shoulder for a long time before yamal went down – no pen given.
Rosario sums up the situations very well. How Mikhi escaped a second booking is beyond me.
I think the referee should have punished the fouls on Lamine much harder.
“Continued” lol Rosario. You’re a HACK and a troll
There is “holding shirt” in every freekick and corner.
Rosario, you are absolutely wrong and your football knowledge is zero
1. Miki has NO yellow in the foul you mentioned. In fact, that foul has punished with the yellow. There is no “foul continued into the box” – rules are clear, foul is called where the contact initiates
2. There is no foul by Thuram – try harder, football is a contact sport and for some reason Barcelona players fell too easy
3. Agree to disagree – you cannot book every player for every foul
4. That handball was AFTER the ball rebounded from the contact with Acerbi’s leg. That, according to penalty requirements, is not a reason to call a penalty kick
5. Hold a shirt is not an immediate call for penalty.
1. Inigo Martinez deserved RED CARD for spitting on Acerbi. CLEAR BIAS.
2. Lautaro was clearly fouled, but Ref tried to favor Barca until VAR intervened.
3. Same with Mkhi – foul was outside box.
4. Lewandowski clear handball in OT
5. Ref blew whistle when Barella clear to goal – BIAS!
