The midfielder spent five years on the books at Milan before returning to Arsenal last summer.

Whilst helping to launch the Gunners’ new kit, the 30-year-old was asked if a return to Serie A could be on the cards anytime soon.

“I hope to finish up here at Arsenal, but you never know,” Flamini has responded to the Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I had five seasons at Milan and I really enjoyed it. I was playing with legends like Maldini, Shevchenko, Ronaldinho.

“It was the time of my life and it gave me some wonderful memories. We will see.”

Flamini was also teammates with Pippo Inzaghi, who has begun his reign on the San Siro bench.

“Pippo thoroughly understands football, and he lives for football.

“He has been a winner as a player and I am sure he will be a winner as a manager, bringing the right mindset that only a Milan player can bring to the team.

“And Seedorf? Yes, he also played for Milan, but Seedorf only had a few months in hand and had already inherited a disastrous situation.”

Flamini’s latest teammate in North London is Alexis Sanchez, after Arsenal and Barcelona confirmed an agreement had been reached. Juventus had previously been linked with the former Udinese man.

“He is a formidable player. I have played against him as an opponent whilst with Milan, and I was impressed by his quality of play.

“Having him as a teammate is really great news.”
