Milan‘s title parade saw the Rossoneri mock city rivals Inter multiple times and Football Italia shows the five most controversial moments of their celebrations.

The Rossoneri have won the 19th title in their history and the first one in 11 years. Players have been celebrating with fans for a couple of days and held a title parade in the streets of Milan on Monday, the day after their win over Sassuolo.

Milan star Theo Hernandez had mocked Inter twice after the final whistle. He first told Sky Sport: “Everyone said Inter were the favourite; let’s see what they say now.” When the Rossoneri returned to Milan to celebrate in front of the club’s headquarters, the France international started an anti-Inter chant (VIDEO).

Milan’s taunts continued the following day, during an open-top bus parade when Zlatan Ibrahimovic told Rossoneri fans to ‘send a message to Hakan [Calhanoglu].’ (VIDEO)

The Turkey star had left the club at the end of his contract in June, joining Inter as a free agent.

Milan face investigation after anti-Inter banners

The most controversial moment was also during the parade when some Milan players showed a banner that read: ‘Put the Coppa Italia up your ….’ It was a similar banner to the one lifted by Massimo Ambrosini in 2007 after Milan had won the Champions League and Inter conquered the Serie A title. The banner shown by Milan players yesterday led to an investigation by the Disciplinary Commission.

Milan players had previously put up another banner with Simone Inzaghi’s face and the writing ‘Spiaze.’ It’s not a proper Italian word, but the pronunciation of the word ‘Spiace’ (sorry) in the dialect of Emilia-Romagna, the region where Inzaghi comes.

Aside from the investigation by the Disciplinary Commission, Milan players have been criticised by former Italy striker Aldo Serena who didn’t quite like the way some players celebrated.

20 thought on “Five times Milan players mocked Inter during title celebrations”
  1. Other than the banner, which was in bad taste in 2007 and it is the same today, all the other stuff is just media making noise over nothing.

  2. When inter won, it was just happy moments, players celebrating and didn’t notice any mocking. I guess the 3-0 domination really hurt their ego,

  3. I really don’t understand AC Milan‘s obsession with Inter. The title was won on the final day of the season, meaning it could have gone either way. With that said Inter’s loss was Milan’s gain. I’m really looking forward to next season.

  4. All throughout the season we have had to listen to inter players, ex inter players, inter fans telling us we are a bad team, lucky with results, players are not the best, referees are giving us favours, ex players saying they moved to inter to win the league, ex players mocking an entire stadium when they scored a penalty, inter players spitting on Theo Hernandez when he is walking down the tunnel and swearing and throwing insults to him and all the other Milan players at full time. We do not forget these things, they got beat to the scudetto by the strongest team in the league and now the strongest team in the league has the right to fire back at inter, take your loss and let the men celebrate. 5. I think InterFan’s comments alone this entire season makes whatever those boys did OKAY!

    Otherwise the banner was excessive.

  6. Mursal, let me tell you when did italian football down in Europa.

It’s the time when Lukaku has been racist attacked by Cagliari fans and Inter fans decided to stand with Cagliari fans but not their own player! How shameful for a club to have such football fans!

  7. Congratulations! AC Milan learned from Inter – finish dead last in the Champions League group stage and focus on the scudetto and it worked ! Just remember, if you want to win the Scudetto next year Just finish dead last in the Champions League group stage and you can make that happen

  8. Did someone really just try to mock Milan‘s champions League record lol, talk about champions leagues when you have more than 7, that’s SEVEN, CHAMP19NS

  9. Well done to my Milan players, proud of them, they know what rivalry is, not these keyboard warriors on here.

  10. Only the banner is offensive, but Hakan and the first Theo case are not. The article exaggerates and provokes further division.

  11. Is this Buzzfeed now? Whats next? 10 times Fikayo Tomori smiled on the pitch? 7 things Pioli wants to get tattooed on his hole?

Do you live in a parallel universe?
What’s all this nonsense? I’d say don’t make a fool of yourself, but it’s too late.
