Juventus lost 4-2 against Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium and Lorenzo Bettoni brings you the five things you may have missed by watching the game on TV.

It was a tough evening for the Old Lady who lost their first game of the season against a rampant Sassuolo in Reggio Emilia. Football Italia was among the accredited media at the Mapei Stadium and brings you the five things you may have missed by watching the game on TV.

Conte-esque Dionisi

The Neroverdi boss praised his stars Domenico Berardi and Armand Laurienté after the final whistle and arrived at a post-match press conference with almost no voice. It was not hard to believe as the 43-year-old had been screaming and jumping and shouting on the touchline for the entirety of the game. At some point, his body language was so similar to Antonio Conte’s. Dionisi guided all his players in every phase of the game, whether they had the ball or not. The Neroverdi reacted instantly to every signal coming from the bench and the result reflected their attitude.

Chiesa-Milik

Juventus thought they could even win the game when Federico Chiesa scored the equaliser at minute 78. The Italy international would have been subbed off if he hadn’t scored as Arek Milik was ready to be subbed on taking his place. The Poland international watched Chiesa’s goal from the touchline and put his bib back on immediately after his teammate’s strike.

Chiesa-Vlahovic

There was another memorable moment after Chiesa had found the net as Dusan Vlahovic waited for his teammate in front of the bench to celebrate with him. The Serbia international had been subbed off only a few minutes earlier and waited for Chiesa’s hug on the touchline keeping his arms lifted over his head.

Vlahovic-Gatti

Vlahovic was not happy when Massimiliano Allegri replaced him in the second half, introducing Moise Kean. Vlahovic did all he could to avoid controversy, but his body language was clear. The 23-year-old shook his head while going to the bench and gave Allegri an unconvinced hug. After the game, however, Vlahovic tried to help his teammate Gatti by accompanying him inside the tunnel after the defender had scored an incredible own goal. Vlahovic took Gatti under his wing but the defender was visibly frustrated.

Magnanelli

At the beginning of the game, Sassuolo fans paid tribute to club legend Francesco Magnanelli who joined Allegri’s staff earlier this summer. Ultras unveiled a banner for the ex-midfielder signing ‘Magnanelli one of us.’ the former Neroverdi defender came out from the Juventus bench to wave at their former supporters and thank them.
