According to Tuttosport newspaper, Nikola Vlasic is pushing to join Torino on a permanent transfer and has therefore spoken to David Moyes and Mark Noble to confirm he doesn’t want to return to West Ham.

Torino’s clause to sign the Croatia international expired on June 10, but the Granata are in talks with the Hammers, trying to sign the player for a lower fee than the €15m agreed last summer.

Thursday’s printed edition of Tuttosport newspaper -page 20 – claims Vlasic is doing anything to convince West Ham to reach a deal with Torino.

According to the report from journalist Marco Bonetto, Vlasic has been very clear about his plans for the future, talking to West Ham coach Moyes and sporting director Noble.

The player reportedly said he doesn’t want to return to London, where he would not be on Moyes’ plans. He is also aware that Torino have made a ‘concrete offer’, so he expects West Ham to accept it.

He is also ready to cut his salary to join the Granata and is unwilling to sign for any other club.

Last but not least, his family has settled in well in Turin, one more reason why he is not considering returning to London.

Vlasic collected five goals and eight assists in 37 appearances with Torino this season. He failed to justify his €30m price tag at West Ham in 2021-22, leaving the club on loan after just one season.
