All or Nothing Juventus has been dropped by Amazon Prime today and Football Italia takes a look at the five things spotted during the second episode.

All or Nothing Juventus recaps the Bianconeri’s 2020-21, starting with Andrea Pirlo’s appointment as Juventus coach. The second episode shows how new signings, especially Federico Chiesa and Weston McKennie, are settling in and how the Bianconeri prepared for the matches against Barcelona and Torino.

 1. Chiesa cried seeing Buffon

Chiesa joined Juventus in October 2020, sharing the dressing room with Gigi Buffon, who had played with Chiesa’s father Enrico at Parma at the beginning of his playing career. During a team dinner, the Juventus starlet reveals that, as a child, he once broke into tears when Buffon visited his father, Enrico, at their home. “My father told me this story, you came to the house with a headband and your hair all up and I immediately started crying the moment I saw you, he always tells me this story,” Chiesa reveals.

2. McKennie’s body fat

Another highlight from episode two is McKennie’s meeting with Juventus’ nutritionist Andrea Goddi. The former Schalke man was not exactly in shape when he arrived in Turin with an 85.3 kg weight. “We can say that you are slightly overweight,” Goddi said. “The percentage of body fat is 18%.” “You are definitely gonna have to change that,” McKennie explains in an interview, but they found me a chef, now I have a meal plan.”

3. Ronaldo’s attention to details

On the other hand, Cristiano Ronaldo takes care of every small detail, on and off the pitch. Which includes following a balanced diet. “Food, what you eat. For me, it’s not sacrifice,” Ronaldo says. “To eat tuna fish or broccoli. I do it because I like it. For me, it’s natural because I start, I started it I was 18 or 19.”

4. Chiellini’s NGO

Giorgio Chiellini, the captain of Juventus and Italy, leads the group by example. The veteran defender is one of the founders of the NGO’ Gli insuperabili’, which aims to ensure the growth and integration of children with disabilities within society thanks to football. Chiellini often takes part in their training sessions and knows all the kids by name. This time, he arrives at the training session with one of his signed Juventus jerseys for each kid at the training ground.

5. Derby turnaround

The episode ends with Juventus’ win in the Turin derby. The Bianconeri went into the break 1-0 down. Pirlo’s instructions and his substitutions during the second half helped the team recover and secure a crucial victory at the Allianz Stadium. “We must be patient, but the ball is moving too slow,” said Pirlo inside the locker room at half time. “If we are slow, we never manage to get there because their centre midfielders have time to come out. We must attack the space. They’ll jump on us if we all come towards the ball. Let’s play fast. They play on our counterattacks and our missed passes. Let’s try to make fewer mistakes and play faster. We’ll score. Let’s attack their box.” That’s precisely what Juventus did in the second half. Pirlo introduced McKennie, who scored his first goal at Juventus from a cross of Juan Cuadrado. The Colombian also provided the assist for Leonardo Bonucci’s winner.

  1. As if we needed another reason to celebrate Chiellini.

Tough as nails on the pitch a gentleman and ambassador for all off it.
